I ask myself, What makes you happy?, all the time. When I’m feeling down or when I’m perfectly content, I always think about things that make me happy. Its a good practice to keep in mind if you find yourself feeling upset. It brightens your mood and makes you realize how many amazing things there are in your life and in the world we live in. It gives you a chance to reflect and disconnect from hectic world. As for me, the thing that comes to mind, and might also come into yours, is family and friends. I love my family and friends and they make me so incredibly happy. I don’t know what I would do without them. However as I keep thinking I think about coffee, running and music. As my head keeps wandering I think of favorite TV shows and other superficial things about my life. And I think, that’s okay! It’s okay that when I think of my favorite things, within the first few seconds I think of the delightful television show, Gilmore Girls. I think of things that make me laugh and things that make me so, very thankful. My mind wanders and I don’t focus on little daily problems that life brings on.
If you are ever feeling sad and brought down by life’s little problems, recall the things that make you happy. Things that make you smile, grateful, and things that make you happy to be alive. I promise that it will brighten your mood and your day.
