I have an obsession with books about happiness. It started with a little book called Happiness is…500 Things to Be Happy About. I love to flip through that bright yellow book. As time went on I accumulated multiple books about happiness including, 52 Lists of Happiness. I was intrigued by this book because not only is it a book but it’s a journal and I am all about a good journal! So in the this book, every week there is a new list that you write about. The first weeks prompt was, list what makes you happy right now. I loved this week and went to town!! It was super fun to think about all the great things in my life. I filled up the entire page and I wanted to keep writing and writing and writing. However the next week’s prompt was, list the routines in your personal life and work. Now this one I stared at the page for a few minutes and didn’t know what quite to write. I automatically thought of doing my makeup. So now I had exactly one thing on the page. I still didn’t know what to write. But, I’m glad I didn’t instantaneously know what I was about to write, it gave me a chance to think. To think about my day and think about what I do everyday that makes me smile. It was a time to reflect. Every week I put away half an hour to write in the list journal. There’s something about writing by hand in a journal that gives you peace of mind and tranquility. So overall I would 100% recommend to grab the book 52 Lists for Happiness or, make lists about your life every week, you don’t necessarily need to go out and buy the book. Whatever works for you, will be just fine! So with that have a wonderful day and happy journaling!
