Planning the New Year

It’ s hard to believe 2017 is coming to a close…I feel like I say that every year but I really mean it this time! For me, it’s so exciting to think about the new year- new possibilities and adventures. With the new year also comes new bullet journal spreads. The beginning of the year is a good time to start a bullet journal or keep continuing your old one. I’m about halfway through my current journal, so I still have plenty of space for the new year.

Make sure to add a yearly spread and a few fun collections. My yearly was fairly simple this year and some of my added collections include, 2018 goals and a mood tracker. I don’t want to go overboard with yearly collections because it’s too hard to keep track of them all. But if you are going to pick one I would recommend the goals collection. I love to look back at my goals that I set last year and see how many I accomplished this year, I’m not going to lie, I didn’t accomplish many this year! But that’s because my goals weren’t reasonable. One of my goals was, stop overthinking, and today I continue to overthink because I did nothing to change that bad habit of mine. Just as a rule of thumb choose goals that are measurable and doable.

Another collection is a mood tracker and it’s a collection that you can track your mood everyday. There are so many cool and creative mood trackers out there. However you want to choose a format that makes you want to record your mood. Last year I did a mood tracker, but because the style I did was so boring I didn’t want record my mood. So I’m here to show you a different way to write down your mood. I personally love the way the tracker looks when you’re done but if it doesn’t sound like something you want to do, then don’t worry about it. There are so many different formats that you can do your collections in. You can use my exact format or come up with your own. Hopefully by the new year you have your year planned out and some collections. Happy bullet journaling!

Lots of Love

Anna
